This painting is meant to document the Reverend Wright/Trinity United Church part of Obama's presidential campaign story while also addressing aspects of racism and xenophobia which were raised after explosive, cherry-picked snippets of some of Reverend Wright's sermons were broadcast on YouTube and made national headlines. Father Pfleger's Food Fight

I admit that I found Father Pfleger's attack on Hillary Clinton at the podium of the now infamous Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago somewhat hilarious. I first heard about it on a Thursday night on MSNBC's Dan Abrams show where the panel was making fun of it as if it were some sort of joke, nothing to be taken seriously.
