Brett Favre, Greta Van Susteren Interview
Well it's no surprise that Brett Favre wants to play football again. At the end of every football season you can always count on Favre throwing a badly judged interception to end the Packers' season; then he cries; then he talks about maybe retiring. This year it really looked like he was through when he gave his wet-eyed retirement speech in March. But now a few months later he says the Packers organization pressured him into retiring and now that training camp is nearing Favre is getting "the itch" again.I saw Favre the other night give an interview about the whole ordeal on FOX's Greta Van Susteren's show the other night. It was funny because she had a John McCain interview on the show too but Favre was the headliner. Hahahahaha. Favre gave a great interview and it makes you hope he can work things out with the Packers or find another team to play on. It's nice that football season is on the way. It's so refeshing to see a rugged, genuine guy like Favre give his true feelings on matters when ever since the Super Bowl we have all been tuned into election politics and hearing all these politicians and their tree-limb tongues writhing and weaving through so many gaffes, lies, flops and phantom promises. It's nice to finally get to see REAL MEN on the televison for a change!
I don't know why the Packers can't just release him. After all Favre has given that franchise, they should just let him out of his contract to play for another team if they aren't going to let him be the starter. I really hope he somehow goes to play on another team because that would be interesting. Every year we have to go through the same dialogue and speculation regarding Favre and he always ends up playing for Green Bay like always. It would be nice for the fans to get to see something DIFFERENT with Favre, something new to go into the season excited about. There also hasn't really been any big bombshell roster moves or draft picks this year to go into the season looking forward to seeing. Nothing Like Randy Moss going to the Patriots last year, something that had be excited to no end.
